The annual Gartner Program and Portfolio Management Summit is happening this June. Expos are taking place in Orlando, FL and London, UK and we’re very excited to be a part of the event. Gartner are globally renowned for their research targeting CIOs and IT leaders and the PPM Summit is the culmination of their combined expertise and knowledge.
If businesses want to compete in the modern enterprise, program and portfolio management must move past the traditional confines of “technical Project Management” to deliver improved levels of agility and business value. To do so, digital transformation is crucial, but this also creates some risk. Transformation will require a fundamental shift in strategies, processes and leadership.
If you’re attending the Gartner Program & Portfolio Management Summit, you can expect a true focus on the most common challenges CIOs face and the best methods of solving them. Working across four different tracks, the event will explore the best methods of advancing your program and portfolio management leadership and ways to embrace agility and fully exploit the opportunities it presents. Covering resource management, agile development, information logistics and more, the event promises an in-depth look into the following:
- Prioritizing your IT investments
- Allocating resources more effectively
- Realizing the full benefit of every project
- Perfecting your bimodal approach to IT
- Leading change and business transformation
- Delivering more business value, faster
Further, the Summit will include one-on-one meetings, roundtable sessions and guest keynotes to offer opportunities to learn from, and interact with, Gartner analysts, industry experts and peers and top solution providers.

We’re very proud to be an exhibitor at the Gartner PPM Summit and we know it’s a great opportunity to show what our tool, Tempus Resource can do.
There is a growing recognition that the way people currently manage their projects is failing. But with so many PPM tools on the market, why do companies still leverage Microsoft Excel to do their Resource Planning? One of the main factors is that traditional PPM tools focus on the task and the deadline, when really the focus should be on the people getting the project done.
Companies such as Emprise Bank and Siemens Healthineers manage hundreds of resources in multiple countries with the help of Tempus Resource. We will be showcasing real-world examples of how they perform innovative “What-If” modelling for their Strategic Resource decisions through Tempus Resource.
So, if you’re attending and want to see a live demo or ask a couple of questions about resource management best practice, there’ll be plenty of us on hand to answer any queries you may have. Up first for us is Orlando, see you all at booth #401!
